Brickell in Miami is a neighborhood belonging to the greater Downtown area that also functions as the city's financial district. It encompasses the entirety of the roadway better known as Brickell Avenue which runs north and south and is located between the Downtown Miami area and the neighborhood of Coconut Grove. Since it was settled back in the 1800s the Brickell area has grown considerably and is now home to a collection of soaring Brickell condos, hotels, and apartment towers. You'll find two sub-neighborhoods, divided as West Brickell and South Brickell. The former is where you'll find the most of the low to mid-rise apartment buildings while the latter is an assortment of single family Brickell homes for sale and high rise buildings.
Brickell real estate consists of many high-end properties like the Four Seasons Miami which offers hotel accommodations as well as residential condominium units and is among the tallest buildings in all of Florida. There is also waterfront property such as the various buildings found on the island of Brickell Key which is east of the Brickell area. Getting around is also convenient as the Miami Metromover and Metrorail are both within Brickell and make it easy to visit several areas throughout the city without necessarily having to drive, like Miami International Airport.
